Readmission Process

Students who have missed a semester or more of study at Oswego must complete the Application for Readmission Form. Once your form is received and processed, you will be sent further information on advisement and registration.

Undergraduate Students

If you were a matriculated (degree-seeking) undergraduate and missed one or more semesters, you’ll need to complete the Undergraduate Readmission Form. We recommend submitting your form by:

  • June 1 – for Fall semester
  • December 1 – for Spring semester

Upcoming Readmission Terms

  • Summer 2025: Courses visible in myOswego. Registration opens March 24.
  • Fall 2025: Courses available March 17. Advance registration begins April 7.

Graduate Students

Please complete the Graduate Readmission Form to request readmission.

Submitting Transcripts

If you’ve taken courses at another school since leaving Oswego, send us your official transcripts. Submitting official transcripts, ensuring a complete record of coursework, can help shorten your time to graduation, lower student loan debt, and prevent issues with prerequisites or repeating courses. Unofficial transcripts may be used for evaluation but won’t become part of your official record until final grades are received. Most colleges offer transcript ordering through their Registrar’s Office. Visit Requesting a Transcript for links to order transcripts from SUNY schools.

Important: If you earned college credit through a high school program (like “College in the High School”), transcripts must come directly from the college. High schools do not provide them.
