Steve Savage serves as the Assistant Vice President for Major Gifts in the Division of University Advancement. He is charged with leading a team focused on establishing, cultivating and stewarding relationships with potential donors to secure contributions that support the mission of SUNY Oswego. Steve works closely with partners across campus to ensure our donors achieve their philanthropic goals in ways that meet the needs of the institution.
He brings over 25 years of experience championing philanthropy in both the higher education and healthcare sectors, working with donors and leading teams to support these important missions. Previously working for the Cayuga Health System, Ithaca College, Syracuse University and Texas Christian University, he has been deeply involved in annual giving, major and planned giving, prospect development, stewardship, board management as well as communications.
Steve earned a bachelor’s in Radio/TV/Film from Texas Christian University.
