Dr. Prabakar Kothandaraman began serving as the Dean of the School of Business in July 2019. He also holds an appointment as Professor of Marketing in the school. His research is in the area of Business-to-Business Marketing and Sales and the course he likes teaching the most is Influence, Persuasion and Negotiation Strategy. His research in sales explores, among other things, drivers of student success in sales role plays, gender bias in salesperson recruitment, salespersons’ use of social media.
He has co-authored many Harvard Business School case studies in a variety of business topics. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional sales for close to a decade at William Paterson University. His other past academic appointments include faculty positions at Texas A&M University, and Drexel University. He holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the Pennsylvania State University, MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management and B.E. (Hons.) in chemical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India).
