Amy Plotner serves as the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, where she oversees the strategic vision, leadership and management of the Human Resources and Payroll Offices. This includes oversight of talent acquisition and Civil Service recruitment, employee orientation and off boarding, faculty immigration, compensation and classification, employee performance management and training, benefits and retirement, worker’s compensation, leave administration, ADA accommodations for employees, labor and employee relations, policy development, Affirmative Action annual reporting, oversight of New York State Ethics Law requirements, HR data analytics and bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees and student assistants.
Prior to joining SUNY Oswego in 2013, she served as a Human Resources Manager at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Plotner earned a bachelor of arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Concordia University Wisconsin. She holds two Human Resource certifications including a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
