In my role as a Senior Academic Planning Coordinator within the Division of Extended Learning at SUNY Oswego, I provide guidance to students enrolled in the college’s online and hybrid bachelor’s degree programs. I navigated my educational path as an adult learner, successfully balancing the demands of work, family, and school. Balancing the responsibilities of fulltime parenthood and work, I successfully earned my Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor of Science degree in Historical Studies, and both a Master of Arts in American History and a Master of Arts in Political Science, primarily through online and distance learning.
With a wealth of experience spanning approximately 20 years in diverse higher education roles, I have held various positions such as Adjunct Faculty Member, Instructional Designer, Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, Concurrent Enrollment Liaison, Academic Advisor, Interim Assistant Registrar, Transfer Credit Evaluator, and Degree Completion Counselor for public and private institutions across the country.
This multifaceted background equips me with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by adult learners as they juggle professional, family, and academic responsibilities. I am dedicated to enhancing students' learning experiences through an individualized, proactive, and inclusive approach, recognizing that student engagement plays a crucial role in achieving academic success.
