As Dean, I lead the Extended Learning Division at SUNY Oswego, which offers programs and services such as Summer and Winter Sessions, Instructional Design services, Online and Distance Learning Degrees, Evening & Part-Time Degrees, Adult & Non-Traditional Student Advisement, High School Concurrent Enrollment, English for Academic Purposes, Intensive English, Testing & Proctoring, Veteran & Military Services, Non-Credit Professional Development, Contract Training, Youth Programs as well as the SUNY Oswego Syracuse Branch Campus and Office of Business & Community Relations in downtown Oswego. The division also offers microcredentials (credit and noncredit) and coordinates the Integrative Professional Studies degree programs for adult and nontraditional students.

The Extended Learning Division helps provide access to higher education at all levels of the educational pipeline (primary school, high school, traditional, & non-traditional aged), to expand horizons and further develop students toward their highest potential. I believe that people never stop learning and that all types of education help to raise the individual, and therefore, society as a whole. As a collaborative partner, the Division works closely with all offices on campus and external partners to assess an educational need, and craft innovative, flexible and responsive ways to promote lifelong learning and continuing education.

Prior to joining SUNY Oswego in 2014, I worked as Dean for Continuing Education and was a member of the senior academic leadership team responsible for innovative and community-oriented programs for adult and non-traditional students at SUNY Jefferson Community College and at various industry and higher education positions. I taught business and professional foundations courses at Franklin University and SUNY Jefferson Community College for 11 years.

I hold a Masters in Business Administration from Franklin University and a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies (Interpersonal) from SUNY Oswego. As an alum, I have been able to reflect on the college and city of Oswego that I remember. I’m proud to be back as a part of this special institution, passing on our strong educational tradition and making a difference in students’ lives.
