Brightspace training is now available for all SUNY Oswego faculty and support staff through the SUNY Center for Professional Development (CPD).
Employee Training
SUNY Center for Professional Development Training
Formal training is being offered by the SUNY Center for Professional Development (SUNY CPD). Different training paths are available depending on an individual’s overall experience using a learning management system. To determine your path, take the training path self-assessment, then register for a training through SUNY CPD. Multiple modalities are available (synchronous, asynchronous, scaled webinars).
The SUNY CPD is also offering Fireside Chats. These sessions showcase Brightspace tools and features. Visit the Fireside Chats website to see upcoming sessions, past recordings, and registration information.
The SUNY CPD has integrated an asynchronous course inside Brightspace that faculty can access. It is called “SUNY DLE Brightspace Fundamentals Asynchronous Modules” and is listed under the “CPD Pilot Semester” tab of “My Courses.”
SUNY Oswego Training
SUNY Oswego will supplement the SUNY CPD formal training with CELT-sponsored spring breakout sessions with pilot faculty in May/June, office hours starting June 7, group sessions starting in June, and basic workshops later in July/August for new faculty and adjuncts.
