Bits & Bytes was a live, 30-minute, weekly TV show produced by the SUNY Oswego Instructional Computing Center (ICC) in cooperation with the Department of Communication Studies and the Office of Learning Resources.
Each week, a member of the campus community was interviewed on their use of technology. Some shows also included announcements, news, tips and/or specific websites of interest to the campus community.
The show aired on Wednesday afternoons during the semester from 1997 - 2002 and was broadcast on the local campus TV station. Both the ICC and Learning Resources later became part of SUNY Oswego Campus Technology Services.
Most episodes of Bits & Bytes were co-hosted by Don Michaels, ICC User Support, and Nicole LaRock Decker, ICC Systems Programmer. In 2002, the show was co-hosted by Don Michaels and Emilio Acevedo, ICC System Analyst.
Recordings of many, but not all, of the shows survived and are listed here.
