Summer and Winter Sessions For Faculty and Advisors

We want to help you set up your students for success.

Summer and winter classes are shorter than spring and fall sessions. This may be ideal for certain students, but the restricted timeline means the material is more concentrated, requiring them to work harder and faster.

FACULTY SALARY PRO-RATING Policies

❖ In order to better serve our faculty and students and in keeping with the college’s mission of being “Learner-Centered”, we are offering
faculty a pro-rated salary option for courses that do not meet the required 8 undergraduate or 5 graduate registrations that ensure the course
will run.
❖ Inherent in this offer is the expectation that courses will be delivered with the same level of intellectual rigor as courses with higher
enrollment.
❖ Please note that full compensation for a 3-credit course has been increased to $3,250 and the pro-rated compensation tables have
been adjusted accordingly.

❖ If applicable, faculty will be contacted, via email, approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of a course to see if they are interested in
participating in this option. If accepted, an initial salary will be agreed upon and faculty will be guaranteed compensation for the number of
paid registrations as of that time.
❖ If enrollment decreases after the first day of the course, faculty will be guaranteed compensation for the number of paid registrations
previously agreed upon. Faculty will be expected to deliver the course as planned.
❖ If enrollment increases, faculty will be compensated for the total number of paid registrations as of the firm enrollment date.

UNDERGRADUATE / GRADUATE (CROSS-LISTED) COURSE
This type of course will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis depending upon the number of paid registrations in the undergraduate and
graduate sections in accordance with the designated cap.
