Garrette Weiss is the Business Education Liaison for the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi). In this role his primary goal is to engage local and regional business and educational institutions to form strategic partnerships for the betterment of CiTi's students.

With over 20 years of experience in education, Garrette partners with local, state and regional school administrators, councilors, and teachers to develop viable and marketable career experience and development opportunities for students.

A graduate from SUNY Oswego with a Master of Science Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts, Garrette is also an active member in his community and serves on numerous boards and committees. Currently, serving on the Workforce Development Board of Oswego County, he stays continually engaged on workforce development issues and initiatives impacting the public and private sectors.

Garrette is passionate about people and their ability to succeed and serves on the Leadership Oswego County Advisory Council. As a member of the council he actively engages in assessment and strategic planning of the program as well as recruitment and ambassadorship. He is an advocate for educations, workforces, and community development and believes that through open communication and dialogue that our community can foster collective action to optimize growth and lay a foundation for future prosperity.

Garrette resides in Oswego, New York with his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters, Leah who is pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Western New England University and Kara who is in a bachelor's program in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale.
